In the first 8 months of 2017, global aluminum production increased by 5.8% year on year

According to the Australian Ministry of industry, innovation and science, the world's aluminum output exceeded 40 million tons in the first 8 months of 2017, an increase of 5.8% over the same period last year.

Among them, the first 8 months of this year, China's aluminum production increased by 7.7% compared with the same period last year, Asia (excluding China) grew by 14%, South America grew by 3%.

The Department also said that in order to make up for China's winter production capacity caused by lack of capacity, China's aluminum producers in the first half of 2017, a substantial increase in aluminum production to 17 million tons, an increase of 11%.

Global aluminum production is expected to be 58 million tons in 2017, down 0.3% year on year. China's aluminum production will fall by 4.3% to 30 million tons, mainly due to the prevention and control of air pollution in winter and the limited production of enterprises in china. However, the growth of aluminum production in Asia and the Middle East will offset the decline in aluminum production caused by China's limited production. Aluminum production in Asia (excluding China) is expected to rise by 21%, and the Middle East will grow by 2.3%.

For the Chinese aluminum output in 2017, the Australian Ministry of industry, innovation and science remains conservative. Last week, Beijing Antai predicted that China's aluminum production in 2017 will reach 36 million tons, compared with 32 million 650 thousand tons in 2016, an increase of 10.3%.

From 2018 to 2019, the global aluminum production capacity is expected to increase again at an average annual growth rate of 6%. Aluminum production in China, the Middle East and the United States will increase by 65 million tons in 2019.
