Aluminum profile extrusion die is the basic tool to ensure the product forming and make it have the correct shape, size and precision, so it plays an important role in the extrusion process of aluminum profile. In actual production, for extruding hollow aluminium profiles, there may be a concave or convex arch surface on the wall of aluminium profiles.
1. Causes of the arch surface of hollow aluminium alloy profile wall concave: the working belt of the core is lower than the working belt of the lower die hole, and the effective length of the working belt of the core is too short.
Correction method: Place a spacer between the core and the lower die, so that the working belt of the core is equal to the sizing belt of the lower die hole under stress. At the same time, the same thickness is reduced at the outlet of the lower die.
2. Causes of wall convexity of hollow aluminium alloy profiles: the die used for too long, the working belt of the core worn seriously, grooves appeared, which increased friction resistance, and the slow metal flow caused the wall convexity of hollow aluminium alloy profiles.
Correction method: If the tolerance of profile wall thickness permits, the working belt surface of die core can be filed or polished to reduce friction resistance; if the wear of working belt of die core is serious and the thickness of profile wall has reached the upper deviation, the mould can be preheated to about 300 C, the shape of welding die core can be repaired, then the filing can be repaired to the required size and used after polishing; if the working belt of die core has not been worn out, then the friction resistance can be reduced. The outer obstruction and the inner detention of the working belt of the die core of a file can be used.
