Marine materials: Ship aluminum, silicon bronze and manganese aluminum bronze


C95600 alloy

C95600 alloy is usually called aluminum silicon bronze, except for sand casting, ship structural parts, casting cables, connectors, terminals, valves, gears, worms, overhead circuit components, etc..

chemical composition

The chemical composition of C95600 alloy (mass%) is relatively simple: Cu = 88, (Ni+Co) 0.25, Al6.0 - 8, Si1.8 - 3.3, Cu+ = 99 sum of the above elements.

mechanical property

Typical tensile properties of single cast Sand Casting Bars: tensile strength Rm=515N/mm2, yield strength Rp0.5=235N/mm2, elongation at A50=18%, sample state M01.

Brinell hardness 140HB (load 3000kg), positive modulus E=105GN/m2.

physical property

The density of 7.69g/cm3 C95600 alloy at 20 DEG 16mm/m, the volume change rate during solidification; thermal properties: the liquidus temperature is 1005 degrees centigrade, the solidus temperature of 982 DEG C, 20 C ratio (kg - K) 376J/ heat capacity; electrical properties: 20 degrees bulk conductivity 8.5%IACS.

Process performance

M01 state C95600 alloy has good machinability, for easy cutting alloy 80% of C36000 brass. The stress relief annealing temperature of the casting is 260 degrees.

C95700 alloy

C95700 alloy is a manganese aluminum bronze, referred to as "73-3-8-2-12 bronze", the commodity names Superstone40, Novoston, Ampcoloy495. Sand casting ship propeller and various parts, as well as impeller, stator block, safety tools, welding rod, valve, pump shell, etc.. It should be noted, however, that the alloy is not suitable for oxidizing acid medium, because it may be brittle at 350 DEG C - 565 DEG cool or prolonged heating.

chemical composition

The chemical composition of C95700 alloy (mass%): Cu = 71, Mn11.0 - 14, Al7.0 - 8.5, Fe2.0 - 4, Ni1.5 - 3, Si0.10, P0.03 and other impurities total 0.5. The impurity content should be strictly controlled, too much may lead to brittleness and reduce the strength.

Typical mechanical properties of single sand casting casting rod: tensile strength of Rm=620N/mm2, yield strength Rp0.2=275N/mm2, elongation of A50=20%, reduction of area 24%; cast material compressive strength (0.1% permanent deformation) 1035N/mm2; cast or annealed casting hardness of 85HRB - 90HRB; normal elastic modulus E=125GN/m2, shear modulus 44GN/m2, Poisson's ratio is 0.326; the toughness of 27J test of cantilever beam impact at 20 C; 108 cycles of repeated bending fatigue strength 231N/mm2; creep strength 10-5%: 205 degrees 66N/mm2290 degrees 31N/mm2; using 105h, creep rupture at 205 DEG 470N/mm2260 DEG C stress 232N/mm2370 39N/mm2.

Microstructures

The microstructure of the cast and annealed material is about 25% volume face, cubic structure of alpha phase, and a small amount of beta phase of closely packed six square lattice.

Physical and chemical properties

C95700 alloy density (20 DEG C) 7.53g/cm3. The shrinkage rate of 1.6%; thermal properties: the liquidus temperature is 990 degrees centigrade, the solidus temperature of 950 DEG C, average 20 degrees to 300 degrees Celsius the expansion coefficient of 17.6 m (M - K), 20 C 440J heat capacity, thermal conductivity of 20 DEG C rate 12.1W/ (M - K); at 20 DEG resistivity 556n. M 3.1%IACS, the volume conductivity; casting slow cooling of casting 2.2 - 15 back permeability permeability of casting 1.03 cold rushed. The corrosion resistance of C95700 alloy is similar to that of aluminum bronze and nickel aluminum bronze.

Process performance

The machinability of C95700 alloy is 50% of C36000 alloy, and the typical parameters of tool steel cutting are: when feeding 0.3mm/rev, the coarse vehicle speed is 75m/min, and the precision 0.1mm/min speed is 290m/min when feeding. The annealing temperature is 620.
