Aluminum production in North America declined in September; aluminum production in the first 9 months of 2017 increased slightly compared with the same period last year
The latest report of the American aluminum industry association show that in September the United States and Canada, including the export of aluminum net production was 987 thousand and 500 tons, compared with 1 million tonnes in September 2016 to reduce 5.6%. The output of aluminum rolling products is 670 thousand tons, which is 1% lower than that of the same period last year. The output of aluminum ingots for export and die casting is 6.35 tons, which is 14% lower than that of the same period last year.
The three quarter of 2017, 9 million tons of aluminum production in North America, has increased slightly compared with the same period in 2016. In September, aluminum stocks stood at about 1 million 500 thousand tons, up 1.6% from the previous month, an increase of 7.2% compared with the same period last year..
In August 2017, the United States and Canada of primary aluminum production was 63 thousand tons, average daily output of 2030 tons, compared to July 2017 decreased slightly; slightly compared with August 2016 growth, but compared to August 2015 decreased by 53%.
